It’s Valentine’s Day this Sunday and there are many ways for lovers to celebrate beyond the traditional candlelit dinner, roses and chocolates.
The Newsroom has uncovered just a few romantic options.
Valentine’s dinner cruise
There are many romantic cruises in Sydney Harbour to choose from on Sunday night – one of them a dinner cruise and romantic show with Sydney Showboats. You and your loved one can enjoy a three-hour cruise including a three-course dinner, drinks, and the show Voyage of Love.
Month of Love in Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour offers a free option for those of you who want to do something simple but still romantic. You can enjoy the fireworks (watch out for the exploding hearts), see a movie at the free outdoor cinema, or go out on the water together in one of the romantic rowboats at Month of Love. The love spirit in Darling Harbour continues until March 5.
Jervis Bay day tour
This is perfect if you want to go the extra mile for your Valentine. The whole day tour includes a boat ride under Sea Cliff Bridge, dolphin watching, viewing the blowhole in Kiama, a stopover in Jervis Bay, and a chance to admire the landscape of the Southern Highlands. But hurry, you have to book.
You can choose from three different locations to watch a movie outside in Sydney this Sunday. There are St George Open Air in the city, Ben and Jerry’s Open Air in Bondi or Moonlight Cinema in Centennial Park. Bring some blankets and pillows for a cosy night together.
You and your Valentine will have a lovely and romantic day together with any of these options. – Rebecka Davidsson
