Police are searching for a truck driver who allegedly forced a motorist off the road in north-western Melbourne on Tuesday.
A Hillside man has told police the truck driver began tailgating him as he was travelling along Western Ring Road in East Keilor at 11:30am.
Police said the truck driver then deliberately rammed the other vehicle three times, causing it to crash into a centre median strip and light pole.
The truck driver then sped away, crossing three lanes before exiting at Keilor Park.
The 48-year-old driver was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.
“The truck is described as being a white cab over semi which was towing a plain white trailer,” police have said in a media release. “The incident occurred between the Calder Freeway overpass and the Keilor Park Drive exit.”
Police investigators are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information about the driver or the incident is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000. – Story and photo by Jessica Ankomah.
