Police have released images of a man wanted for questioning in relation to four incidents involving women in Sydney’s southwest.
The events, involving females aged 16 to 54, include an indecent assault of a 26-year-old woman in Padstow Park on Monday, June 16.
Police are warning women in the area to be aware and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
The most recent incident involved a 16-year-old girl who was approached and followed by a man while walking near Panania Railway Station on Thursday, June 19.
On two other occasions in June, two women aged 40 and 54 reported a man acting suspiciously near Padstow Railway Station.
“We believe there may have been other similar incidents in the area in the recent weeks, so if you know anything that could assist police please come forward,” said Detective Chief Inspector Glenn Fitzgerald.
The man has been described as 20-30 years old with dark hair, a fair complexion and of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance.
Police are also appealing for information relating to two separate incidents involving three teenage girls after they were followed in Cabramatta last week.
These events have prompted authorities to encourage parents to discuss the “Safe People, Safe Places” messages with their children.
Police are urging anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. – Xantre Macaraeg
