The St George Illawarra Dragons have released Brett Morris to join twin brother Josh at Canterbury.
The origin star has signed a four-year contract to add more star power to the wings of the 2014 grand finalists.
Brett has played his entire career with the Dragons where he and twin brother Josh first bursted out on the scene. The pair played two years together, before Josh signed with the Bulldogs in 2009.
The Dragons are under salary-cap pressure and the deal is set to alleviate pressure on the Illawarra side.
Morris’ coup should see the end of the Bulldogs chasing the signatures of Josh Hoffman, Brett Stewart, Darius Boyd and rugby union star Kurtley Beale, who were linked to the club throughout the season.
The brothers will be a force to be reckoned with on the Bulldogs’ left side attack. They were both heroes in State of Origin I this year, showing enormous heart and courage while playing injured and helping NSW to victory. – David Telefoni
