Melbourne tourist hotspot Federation Square has appointed a new CEO.
Jonathan Tribe, former chief operating officer at Victoria University, has been selected as the new CEO of Fed Square Pty Ltd.
Mr Tribe has replaced interim CEO Ron Gauci more than a year after the departure of former CEO Chris Brooks.
The Minister for Tourism and Major Events, John Eren, said Mr Tribe was an excellent choice: “Jonathan Tribe has extensive experience and boasts an astute understanding of both tourism and business development.”
The area is also home to SBS studios and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
“Federation Square is one of Melbourne’s most iconic contemporary attractions,” Mr Eren said. “It’s a key reason why our visitor economy is so strong.”
