Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris will join his Sheffield Shield team Queensland Bulls to play against NSW Blues this weekend.
The 35-year-old right armed fast bowler is expected to be selected in the Bulls squad for Sunday’s match, ending an eight month stint on the sidelines. Harris has been out of cricket since March after undergoing knee surgery in the wake of Australia’s 2-1 series win over South Africa. His return to cricket is good news for the Australian cricket team as his absence hurt the national side badly, especially in Dubai against Pakistan.
The hosts humiliated Australia with a 2-0 clean sweep in test series.
Harris is aiming to come back to international cricket by December when Australia will be facing India in a four-test series on home soil. Should he prove fit prior to the series, India will have to face a full throttle pace attack made up of Johnson, Harris and Marsh.
The series against India has been scheduled to start from December 4, 2014 at Gabba.
