Bobbi Kristina Brown, above, the comatose daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown remains alive, prognosis uncertain three weeks after being found unresponsive in the bath tub of her Atlanta home. It has emerged that four days before she was found, Bobbi Kristina was in a car accident after losing control of her Jeep. The other driver was hospitalised.
Eddie Perfect set to join cast of Play School
Ex-Offspring hunk Eddie Perfect is joining ABC’s children’s program Play School, one of the longest running television shows across the globe. Perfect is not shy of diversity: he also starred in Shane Warne the Musical. The father of two will join the show in May.
50 Shades of Grey panned in Australia
Moviegoers have been emerging from screenings of the erotic movie with dropped jaws – but not for the reasons filmmakers hoped. The book-turned-film, which sold more than 100 million copies worldwide, delves into the taboo world of sadomasochism. Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele has been generally praised by viewers, while Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey has received a mix of criticism and commendation. The sex scenes, predicted to be full frontal and 18+, have been labelled rather tame (in France, 12-year-olds can see the film). Australian authorities have given it an MA15+ rating.
Channel Ten’s Gogglebox is “riveting” reality TV
The show where you watch people watching TV has received surprisingly positive reviews, contrary to its somewhat odd concept. GoggleBox, already well established in Britain, premiered on Foxtel on Wednesday.
It provides an insight into how we, the viewers, react when watching television. The show has gathered 10 households of “ordinary viewers” who watch programs from a range of channels including Foxtel and free-to-air.
