Rogue One feels the Force
The first stand-alone Star Wars film will be titled Rogue One, Disney announced today. Little is known about the plot or cast but there is speculation it could feature the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett. The title apparently refers to the so-called “rogue squadron” which, in the Star Wars universe, is the flight crew in which the best X-Wing fighter pilots were found. The film will be directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Chris Weitz. Studio Disney bought the films’ production company Lucasfilm in 2012 for $US4 billion ($5.21 billion).
Nick Jonas drops out of Iggy tour
The better-known Jonas brother has confirmed on social media that he won’t opening for Iggy Azalea’s Great Escape Tour in the US. Nick Jonas tweeted to his 9.27 million fans on twitter: “Unfortunately I’m not able to join the rescheduled Great Escape Tour, but you will still get to see me this spring, details coming!” It was another blow for Azalea after recent rumours that the Fancy rapper’s tour could be cancelled because of poor ticket sales. Her record label Def Jams Recordings confirmed the tour hadn’t been cancelled, just rescheduled “due to tour productions”.
Kanye struts in velvet-heeled boots
A recent “below the knee” paparazzi shot of Mr and Mrs West in Paris revealed the Yeezus rapper wearing a peculiar velvet-heeled boot. The photo, which went viral on social media, had fans and critics guessing about Kanye’s new fashion choice. One twitter fan wrote “Yasssss kanye beta werq them boots tho!” (sic) while another said: “We just gonna act like Kanye isn’t wearing Kim’s boots?”
