Cricket Australia announced the 13 man squad for the first two One Day games against South Africa starting in November.
The two top ranked teams will be facing each other in a five match ODI series in Australia. For many, it would be seen as preparation for both teams ahead of the world cup starting in February. The Australian selectors added six fast bowlers in the squad for the first two matches with Josh Hazlewood making a come back alongside with Coulter-Nile who just recovered from injury.
Hazlewood has been included for his brilliant performance in the recent finished Matador Cup. He was one of the top three wicket takers of the tournament and took his career best domestic one day figures of 7-36 over South Australia. The 23-year-old New South Wales fast bowler had played his last one day back in 2013 against England and has missed selection since due to back injury.
Shane Watson has also been included while James Faulkner and Mitchell Starc have been released to play in the Bupa Sheffield Shield. Brad Haddin has also been rested to concentrate on the upcoming test series against India in December. Mathew Wade will be doing the glove work behind the stumps.
The South African team had already arrived in Sydney where they will be playing one practice match before going to Adelaide for the first T20 match.
