A derailment in Galicia, Spain, has killed 69 people, making it one of Spain’s worst rail disasters.
Witnesses described seeing bodies strewn across the tracks after carriages carrying more than 200 people derailed.
The president of the Galician regional government, Alberto Nunez Feijoo, said 140 people were injured, 20 seriously.
Emergency services had to free many people trapped inside the wrecked carriages. Reuters reports that sabotage was not suspected. – Natalija Antic
