The men involved in the ADFA Skype scandal have avoided jail time.
Daniel McDonald and Dylan Deblaquiere, both 21, were handed down a 12 month good behaviour bonds by Justice John Nield in the ACT Supreme Court this morning.
McDonald secretly filmed having sex with a female cadet in a Canberra dorm room in 2011, which was streamed live to Deblaquiere.
The pair were found guilty earlier this year for sending offensive material over the internet without consent. McDonald was also found guilty of an act of indecency.
Following sentencing, McDonald’s employment within the military is awaiting decision by the ADF. Deblaquiere has already left the military. – Benedicte Earl
