From its iconic commercial where a choir sang their hearts out at famous landmarks across the globe, to that bright red tail we see soaring through the sky, undoubtably Qantas has been an iconic Australian brand since it was founded in 1920.
Now the flying kangaroo is set to upgrade its recognisable logo for only the fifth time since the airline was founded. This upgrade will include new typography and a more sleeker looking kangaroo on its tail.
Qantas consultant designer Marc Newson said “the typography for the word Qantas, which measures almost two metres high on the 787, has been carefully streamlined… And Qantas will appear on the aircraft’s belly, so you can tell when it’s the national carrier flying overhead.”
Qantas CEO Alan Joyce added, “a fresh brand helps symbolise the new era Qantas is entering as we head towards our centenary.”

You want the good news or the bad news? The good news is The Incredibles 2 movie will hit the box office a year earlier than originally planned. The bad news is the fourth film in the Toy Story franchise will be bumped back a year so it will now hit screens in 2019.
Yes, the two animated films have switched release dates so The Incredibles 2 will debut on June 15 2018 — the same day that Toy Story 4 was originally expected to be released. Toy Story 4 will now move to June 21 2019, the same day that The Incredibles sequel was expected to hit the box office.
The first Incredibles film raked in US$633 million worldwide back in 2004, whileToy Story 3 is still the highest-grossing film, earning a whopping US$1.1 billion. Oh and more good news: Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are expected to reprise their roles in the upcoming film!

Justin Timberlake is under police investigation and could face jail time… Yes you read that correctly! Our favourite singer/actor posted a photo on his Instagram account to encourage his 37 million followers to vote at the upcoming elections on November 8th.
He captioned the picture: “Hey! You! Yeah, YOU! I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote !!! No excuses, my good people”
But someone forgot to pass the memo to Timberlake that Governor Bill Haslam signed a bill into law last year banning photos and videos at the polling booths. As such, the photo, which has been taken down, has landed Timberlake in hot and potentially illegal water.
“The Shelby County District Attorney’s Office was made aware of a possible violation of election law,” a spokesperson said on Tuesday afternoon. “The DA’s office is currently reviewing these allegations.”

Tragedy struck at Australian theme park Dreamworld earlier this week when four people lost their lives on a ride. The park was going to reopen its gates to the public today, with all entry proceeds donated to the Australian Red Cross, but the memorial day has now been cancelled.
Why cancel? Reopening the theme park could jeopardise the police investigation into the deaths of the four people which is still underway. The decision has been made to keep the theme park closed until at least Monday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends involved.

What’s the best way to make a point? Apparently destroying a Hollywood star does the job! And that’s exactly what happened when an anti-Trump protestor defaced Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame star.
A video has been posted to Deadline.com showing a man dressed as a construction worker belting the star with a sledgehammer and pick ax. The vandal was apparently trying to remove the star so that it could be auctioned off to raise money for the eleven women who have come out and accused Trump of sexual assault.

The Bachelorette finale aired last night and Georgia Love gave her final rose to contestant Lee Elliot. But that’s not the only love blossoming at the moment! Former The Bachelor contestant Megan Marx has found love with fellow contestant Tiffany Scanlon. The women met during season four of The Bachelor where they were in competition for bachelor Richie Strahan’s heart.
But while neither of them won the show, it seems they still have a happy ending with Megan declaring her love for Tiffany on Monday in an Instagram post. Who knew that a bond over dating the same guy could lead to a new found romance? Love is in the air!
