#ByeByeZayn, hello solo career
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, chances are you have heard the on-going drama of Zayn Malik’s sudden departure from One Direction.
Malik reportedly first left the 1D tour due to stress, but later released a statement saying he just wants to be a “normal 22-year-old out of the spotlight.”
But things got heated this week when music producer Naughty Boy tweeted a sample of Zayn’s first solo song, as well as creating the hashtag #Zaughty (a mash up of Zayn and Naughty).
One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson just couldn’t hold in his peace any longer.
Maybe releasing a solo song less than a week after you quit one of the most famous boy-band’s in the world is not exactly the right approach to staying “out of the spotlight”, Zayn. #JustSaying
Grab your popcorn guys because this is far from over.
It has been revealed that 27-year-old co-pilot Andreas Lubitz, who crashed Germanwings plane, had informed the airline back in 2009 that he had previously suffered severe depression.
The French Alps, where the plane with 150 people on board crashed, is expected to be visited by the chief executives of Lufthansa and Germanwings today.
This year really set the standard for practical jokes with successful pranks going viral on the internet.
A few honourable mentions:
1. John Green’s (author of The Fault In Our Stars) Australian publisher announced a “new book”.
Which was a complete success:
2. British singer Sam Smith re-evaluating his sexuality.
3. A selfie stick for pets…
(The best part being that people were willing to buy it).
