Ultimate Fighting Championship will be heading to Vancouver, Canada this Saturday for UFC 174.
The headlined main event for the night will be the UFC Flyweight Championship bout between American Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson (current champion) and Russian fighter Ali “Puncher” Bagautinov.
Johnson comes into the fight after successfully defending the title three times last year, with all three wins either earning him fight of the night, submission of the night or KO of the night honours. With a 7-1-1 record, the reigning champion will no doubt be looking at his speed work to dominate the fight. Bagautinov is relatively new with this fight only being his fourth with the promotion. The challenger will no doubt want to improve on his undefeated streak as his record stands at 3-0.
The co-main event will be the welterweight bout between Canadian Rory “Ares” MacDonald and American fighter Tyron “The Chosen One” Woodley; MacDonald will look to his height advantage to dominate the fight. Woodley is the more explosive fighter and will be hard to keep down.
The card is as follows:
Main Event: Johnson v Bagautinov
Newsroom’s prediction: Johnson by KO
