Kim Kardashian. E! Channel’s famous reality star, fashion designer, model and video game maker?
What’s it all about?
So, we’ve all heard of Kim Kardashian and her famous assets, but I bet you didn’t know about her latest money making venture – Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. Basically, it’s a 20 level game app created to give the player a taste of living like a celebrity. Your avatar walks red carpets, meets celebrities and attends the hottest clubs in locations like Los Angeles, Miami and Hollywood, by befriending the one and only Kim Kardashian.
The good bits:
After playing this game for an hour or so, it became surprisingly addictive, probably because gaining money, collecting Kardashian stars and flirting with successful fake avatars amuses a loser like me. But, I guess that’s the whole point of it, right? To live an imaginary famous life. Oh, and I have to give it some credit because Kim Kardashian’s voice is actually featured in it and the fact that it’s free for iPhone or Android users is an unexpected bonus.
The bad bits:
I’m pretty certain the only people who would actually be interested in this video game are young kids or crazy Kardashian fans. When playing, I became slowly frustrated when waiting to receive energy to complete tasks to level up! The lack of skill involved within it also frustrated me. I’d consider playing it only to kill time when I’m bored. But let’s get real… this game is basically a glamorised, low budget version of The Sims.
