
The draw for the 2015 Asian Cup has been released and Postecoglou is planning to come out on top.
The Socceroos have been placed in Group A for the Asian Cup with Kuwait, Oman and Korea Republic. Australia will find themselves in a tough competition that’s not impossible to defeat.
Australia will face a huge test in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Qualifiers Korea Republic have shown impressive form in their recent friendlies with their recent 2-0 win against Greece, opening the eyes of those who doubted them.
Kuwait, the underdog of Group A, will be coached by Jorvan Vieira, who tasted Asian Cup glory in 2007 with Iraq.
Oman played in the same FIFA World Cup qualifying group as Australia with Iraq, Japan and Jordan, but were eventually bested by the Socceroos and the Japanese squad.
The home advantage will work in Australia’s benefit as their first match takes place on January 9 in Melbourne. – Noah La’ulu
