A ‘Brothers for life’ member has been arrested and charged.
Strike Force Sitella arrested the 21-year-old gang member at Meander Crescent, The Ponds, last night.
Police also seized a number of items at the home during the search, including mobile phones.
He was refused bail at Blacktown Local Court today.
The man was charged with possessing prohibited guns, supplying drugs, and knowingly participating in a criminal group.
Police operation “Sitella” was formed by the Middle Eastern Organised Crime squad to investigate a number of shootings across Sydney in 2013.
They have successfully arrested 12 people and charged them with more than 80 offences since August. – Bianca Mureddu
