Brent Harvey will undertake a mentor role next year at North Melbourne after none of the Victorian based clubs made a play for his services.
With Harvey’s legendary 432-game experience, he will mentor the young North Melbourne talent which will help the youngsters with their game.
Harvey has been at both ends of the AFL spectrum, winning a premiership and finishing close to the foot of the ladder in his time at North Melbourne. There is a wealth of knowledge he can pass on to the 18 to 21-year-olds of the North Melbourne side.
Harvey recently signed at a semi-professional football club, North Heidelberg, to join his brother for the playing season, who have allowed him to undertake the role at North Melbourne.

He reluctantly retired at the end of this season but if he can successfully motivate the young North Melbourne brigade to have half of the fire he had in his belly – don’t expect them to slide down the ladder in the near future. – Paul Robinson
