Two days of Israeli air raids on Gaza have killed more than 72 people and wounded 550 as fears of an Israeli invasion increase.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said the dead included women and children. Many were asleep when the air strikes hit.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said Israel will intensify attacks in response to Palestinian rocket strikes on Israel. Israeli said the Palestinian militia, Hamas, fired 82 rockets at Israeli targets on Wednesday.
